Do you like bugs? I don’t mind them unless they fly in my face. Here is a really interesting bug we saw at the Green Forest Hotel, bamboo stick bug. He really does look like a bamboo stick, but we would never have noticed him if he hadn’t picked the front railing to sit on and not a bamboo stick.
This little bug is really camouflaged if he is in the bamboo… but not on our banister!
When I was in Kuliang four or five years ago I found, to my extreme horror, a tick burrowing half-way into the skin of my thigh. That was a worst nightmare.
That’s awful. Outside in nature it is always important to protect yourself against insects… some insect repellent is a good idea!
